The War of Independence relief sculpture is a monumental work created to immortalize the Turkish nation's struggle for independence and its spirit of patriotism. These reliefs, coming to life across Eastern Anatolia from the streets of Erzurum to the squares of Kars, from the plains of Pasinler to city walls, convey historic events to future generations through the language of art. These works, which carry meaning for institutions, municipalities, schools and public spaces, add historical depth and national identity to the spaces they inhabit.
Features of the Relief Sculpture
Crafted from high-quality bronze or polyester materials, the War of Independence reliefs and Pasinler Battle relief stand out with their realistic figurework and original compositions. The homeland-themed wall relief in Erzurum meticulously depicts War of Independence scenes and the Turkish flag motif, powerfully reflecting the message of national unity and integrity. The mounted warrior relief depicting the Battle of Pasinler masterfully brings to life cavalry figures, castle silhouettes and the dynamics of war. The monument relief in Kars, integrated with the sculpture group above, presents the crowded soldier composition that embodies the collective spirit of the War of Independence in all its magnificence.
Areas of Use
War of Independence relief sculptures are designed for municipalities, district governorships, schools, cultural centers and public buildings. They serve as a powerful visual element reinforcing national identity on building facades, square walls, monument pedestals and school gardens. Ideal for historically significant city entrances, squares and ceremonial spaces, these reliefs represent one of the most meaningful ways to express the Turkish nation's devotion and gratitude toward the War of Independence through a lasting work of art.

The Pasinler Battle relief can be produced in custom dimensions according to the needs of the space and the capacity of the supporting surface. While sizes starting from 200x120 cm are preferred for small-scale interior applications, panoramic compositions exceeding 2 meters in width can be prepared for building facades and square walls. For multi-figure and dynamic scenes like the Pasinler Battle, a minimum of 260x120 cm is recommended for proper readability of the composition. When space visuals and measurements are shared at the order stage, the most suitable dimensions are determined by our workshop.
The War of Independence relief sculpture is fully suitable for outdoor use. Bronze cast reliefs are naturally resistant to weather conditions, and the patina that forms over the years adds aesthetic depth to the surface. For polyester-based reliefs, special outdoor paint and UV protective coating are applied to provide long-lasting protection against weather effects such as sun, rain and frost. They can be displayed without problems for decades in open spaces such as school gardens, municipal squares, street walls and monument areas.
Wall relief sculptures are fixed to building facades using different mounting methods depending on their weight and dimensions. Chemical anchors and stainless steel screws are used for small and medium-sized reliefs, while a steel construction load-bearing system is preferred for large and heavy bronze reliefs. The load-bearing capacity of the wall surface must be checked before installation. Our workshop provides technical support and guidance for installation after delivery. The appropriate anchoring system for the building facade is determined based on the space information provided at the order stage.
Erzurum-style wall reliefs are monumental works where historical and cultural narratives are conveyed panoramically across a wide surface. In these reliefs, War of Independence scenes, the Erzurum Congress, cavalry raids, frontline life and national symbols are frequently depicted. In addition, architectural elements unique to the city's history such as the Twin Minaret Madrasa and Three Tombs, as well as local cultural motifs, can be incorporated into the composition. An original scenario suitable for the identity of the institution or space is designed by our workshop and presented for customer approval.
In a mounted warrior relief, the number of figures can be determined entirely according to customer request and the dimensions of the space. As in the Pasinler Battle relief, the number of horses and warriors in dynamic cavalry scenes can be increased or decreased while maintaining the balance of the composition. Castle, mountain silhouettes or battle accessories in the background can also be added or removed from the design. Since every change in the number of figures directly affects production time and cost, the exact number of figures is determined at the approval stage and included in the contract.
It is possible to add custom text, dates, slogans or institution names to War of Independence relief sculptures. Information such as Atatürk's memorable words, important dates of the war, names of martyrs or the founding year of the institution can be embossed on the lower band, side frame or background of the relief. The font, size and placement of the text are determined during the design phase and shown to the customer on a 3D model. This detail both strengthens the meaning of the work and adds a personalized touch to the institutional identity.
