Sculpture Packaging and Shipping Information – Safe Delivery
When you place a bust order, the first question that comes to mind is probably this: "Will this work reach me safely?" This question is just as important to us as the production process itself. Leaving the journey of a work of art, crafted with years of effort and meticulous attention to every detail, to chance is simply out of the question. That is why we approach our packaging and shipping process with the same seriousness as our production process.
Professional Packaging Process
Before leaving our sculpture studio, every work goes through an exceptionally careful packaging process. Prior to loading onto the transport vehicle, the bottom and side surfaces of the designated transport area are fully covered with thick protective foam. This first layer is the primary safety element that protects the work against impacts caused by ground vibrations and sudden braking during long journeys.
Once the foam lining is complete, the most suitable placement position is determined by taking into account the sculpture's dimensions, weight, and structural condition. Every sculpture is different; the precautions required to ensure the stability of a bust may differ from those needed for a relief or figurative sculpture. For this reason, rather than applying a standard packaging template, a custom placement plan is created for each individual work.
After the sculpture is positioned, it is secured with robust fastening systems to prevent any movement during sudden accelerations, sharp turns, or impacts along the journey. This stage is the most critical point of the shipping process. Even the slightest movement of the work within the transport area can cause surface damage or breakage. To reduce this risk to zero, the fastening process is carried out with the utmost care. Finally, the sides and top surface of the work are also covered with protective foam and packaging materials, completing the packaging process.
Safe Transport with Specialized Shipping Companies
We do not ship our works through ordinary cargo companies. We work with large shipping firms that specialize in transporting special and valuable products, companies we have partnered with for many years. These firms operate with a transport philosophy that goes far beyond standard cargo processes. They come directly to our studio to collect the work and deliver it to the designated address with the utmost care throughout the entire journey.
This choice is not coincidental. Transporting fragile and valuable works such as sculptures and busts requires specialized equipment and experience. Thanks to our long-standing partnership, these companies are very well aware of how delicate and valuable our works are. They operate at the highest level of precaution against any disruption that may occur during the delivery process.
Shipping Costs and Liability
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. The shipping cost is communicated separately at the order stage based on the delivery address and the dimensions of the work. However, any damage that may occur during the shipping process is the responsibility of our company. We take full responsibility for any issues that may arise from the moment the work leaves our studio until it is delivered to the buyer. Until the moment of delivery, your work is under our guarantee.
Any issues that arise after delivery become the responsibility of the buyer. For this reason, we strongly recommend carefully inspecting the work upon delivery and contacting both the carrier and us immediately if any damage is detected.
International Orders
The packaging and shipping standards we apply domestically are fully valid for international orders as well. We ship sculptures and busts to many countries around the world. We maintain the same specialized shipping approach and the same principles of responsibility for international transport. While shipping costs for international orders are also the responsibility of the buyer, all liability for the process up until delivery remains with our company.
For international orders, we recommend obtaining information about customs procedures and country-specific import conditions prior to placing your order. We would be happy to guide you through this process.
Your Work Is in Safe Hands
Every work produced in our studio remains our responsibility until it is delivered. The care we show in sculpture production is carried through to packaging, and the care we show in packaging is carried through to shipping. Ensuring that your work reaches you safely and intact is not merely a service for us, it is a commitment. We are with you at every stage, from the order process to delivery.
