Turgay ALKAN - Academician and Sculptor
Born in 1982 in Şenkaya, a district of Erzurum, Turgay Alkan completed his secondary education in Oltu. His passion for art and creative inclination led him to the Department of Sculpture at Atatürk University Faculty of Fine Arts, where the academic and practical training he received laid the foundations of his artistic identity.
Education and Achievements
Following his undergraduate education, Alkan continued his academic career at Gazi University, where he successfully completed his master's degree. He is currently pursuing his doctoral (PhD) studies at Atatürk University Faculty of Fine Arts, merging his identity as a researcher with a theoretical depth in his artistic practice.
Sculpture and Artistic Works
As a sculptor, Turgay Alkan draws attention with his works that question the relationship between form, material, and space. Carrying out his academic studies and artistic production simultaneously, Alkan serves as a sculptor at our institution and, in his capacity as an art specialist, brings an aesthetic depth and realistic perspective to our projects. In each of his works, the artist reflects both his technical mastery and his unique creative language, viewing his productions as part of a continuously evolving research process.
