Our Mission
As Heykel.org, our mission is to transfer the journey that begins with artistic passion every morning when we step into our workshop to our customers, students, and art. For us, producing sculptures is not just a job, it is a way of life where we proceed by treating each project as our own work of art. Our sculptor comes to the workshop early every day and gets to work with passion as if doing their own artistic work. This passion is reflected in every work we produce and makes the sculptures that reach our customers special.
Customer Experience and Transparency
At the center of our mission is customer satisfaction and transparency. Our order process is carefully designed for our customers to both experience and make clear decisions. Our first meeting usually takes place by phone, and during this meeting, we listen in detail to understand exactly what our customer wants. Before starting work, we offer our customer a clear idea with graphically prepared visuals and options. During the production process, we share visuals and videos at three critical stages to ensure our customer is informed of every step. Thanks to this transparency, our customers proceed to the result with peace of mind.
We also adopt an honest and clear approach regarding change requests. Changes are not possible in a sculpture whose production process has been completed because each stage has been carefully planned and implemented. However, at the clay stage, if the outer layer has not yet been completed, we discuss additional requests and include these requests in the work when possible. This approach both preserves artistic integrity and increases customer satisfaction.
Handcraft and Production Philosophy
Our distinctive feature is completely handcraft, natural production, and durability. We see that almost all of our competitors produce with machines. However, we believe that sculpture art requires work that must be shaped entirely by the master's hand. Works produced with machines can never have artistic value. What makes sculpture artistic and valuable is that it is prepared with handcraft. Therefore, we never take the easy way out and approach each project with the same dedication.
In our production process, rather than quality control, we use quality workmanship and quality materials from start to finish. We do not randomly buy the materials we use from random companies. We work with suppliers we have worked with for many years and trust. We build the inner layers of sculptures with solid iron skeletons and meticulously process every detail up to the outer surfaces. Due to handcraft, the production time of a sculpture varies between one week and one month. Giving a precise time does not suit sculpture art because each work carries its own unique challenges and beauties.
Workshop Culture and Teamwork
The working environment in our workshop is based on friendship and respect rather than master-apprentice relationship. Artistic work production progresses with our sculptor's directives, but this process is not hierarchical but collaborative. Each master shares their field-related work with others, and our sculptor gives the final opinion. In this way, we conduct a democratic but professional production process. Five people actively work continuously in our workshop, and three of our employees contribute at certain hours during the day. We can work on three sculptures simultaneously, and when we add our students' own projects, this number can rise to five.
Education and Knowledge Sharing
We never close our door to students. An important part of our mission is to provide real workshop experience to Fine Arts Faculty Sculpture Department students. Students receive detailed answers to every question they ask us and can see everything in practice on the sculpture in progress at that moment. This is the best way to turn theoretical knowledge into practice. We respect young people's desire to learn and are proud to contribute to their development.
Delivery and Installation Service
The same care continues during the delivery process. We prefer cargo companies we have worked with for a long time because these companies have a reliable track record of trouble-free and damage-free delivery. We add mounting apparatus to the products we prepare to avoid the need for installation work, enabling easy installation. For large products, we have special installation discussions if necessary and provide support to our customers in this regard as well.
Social Responsibility and Contribution to Art
We participate in all art events to which we are invited, but our focus is always on our work. We donate surplus sculpture works to certain places with the aim of contributing to art, contributing to making art more visible in society. These donations can be schools, parks, or cultural centers. What matters is that art reaches people.
Our Principles
We never take the easy way out. We never close our door to students who want to learn. We never enter into changes that would stain our art. These three principles form the foundation of our daily work. When making every decision, when starting every project, we remember these principles and act accordingly. Our mission is to live these values in every work we do today and carry them forward to tomorrow.
